touch & face ID authentication
Log into United's Mobile Banking app with Touch Authentication and Face ID®
Check this out: United’s Mobile Banking App now enables eligible Apple® or AndroidTM devices to log in using just your fingerprint.
With an iPhone® model X or newer, you get Face ID® authentication. Simple access with added security means there’s no easier way to keep track of your accounts. See how below:
Apple® users
Requirements:
- iOS 10 or greater
- iPhone® 5s or later
- iPad Pro®, iPad Air® 2, or iPad mini® 3 or later
- Touch ID® or Face ID® activated on device
Touch Authentication
To set up Touch Authentication, first activate Apple Touch ID on your device. Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Enter passcode > Add a Fingerprint.
Once you’ve added your fingerprint, open the United Mobile App. From the login screen, tap Touch ID and then tap Enroll Now. Enter your Login ID & Password and tap Authorize. Now hold your finger over the scanner to login.
Face ID®

AndroidTM users
Requirements:
- AndroidTM OS 6.0 or greater
- Android fingerprint authentication capability on device
Please be aware that the Samsung Galaxy S® 5 and Samsung Galaxy NoteTM 4 are not supported devices. These devices use Samsung’s fingerprint drivers rather than Google’s Android fingerprint authentication.
Touch Authentication
To set up Touch Authentication, first activate and store a fingerprint on your phone. Fingerprint settings are typically found under the Personal section within the Settings menu.
Once you’ve added your fingerprint, open the United Mobile App. From the login screen tap Fingerprint and then tap Enroll Now. Enter your Login ID & Password and tap Authorize. Now hold your finger over the scanner to login.
